So on Sunday, me my mom and Junior headed up to the SLC cause me and Junior wanted to do

a session in the Salt Lake Temple before we left, and it turns out that my mom knows some people that knew President Monson, so we had the opportunity of meeting him this past week. He was soooooo much different then i imagined, but in a really good way. We talked to him for probably 10 or 15 minutes, and he was the most comfortable guy to talk to!! He told us stories about him when he became bishop at age 22, and how he interviewed something like 1800 missionaries one month, and hegave us some really good advice for our missions. He told me and Junior that we are COMMANDED to write home every week with a really good letter to our parents. My Mom loved this advice. So anyways it looks like everyone will have at least one good letter a week to read because if the prophet directly commands you to do something, then I decided you better do it!!

Called To Serve

The day after Thanksgiving, I received my call to the Brazil Salvador mission speaking Portuguese. Unfortunately, I had over a 5 month wait between my call and when I leave. It's not all bad though, I get to be here when my sister Aubree has her baby, so honestly it couldn't have worked out better. I am scheduled to fly out of St. George on April 13th at 9:00 A.M. to Salt Lake, then Atlanta, and finally to Brazil, I am sure that will be a really long day, but I am very excited and eager to leave.
